Acquisition Coordinator
Areas of Responsibility:
- Prepare license agreement proposals and support negotiations for programming acquisitions;
- Ensure the coordination between internal departments (Programming, Finance, Marketing, Legal, Traffic) and outside vendors, particularly in regard to deal approval, material delivery, invoice checks and alignment to internal requirements;
- Execute contracts by liaising with Legal and Financial Departments;
- Coordinate Purchase Orders and payment schedules;
- Maintain and optimize acquisition budgets;
- Ensure constant and correct updates of databases (masterdeal and other content documentation) and provide information for rights management systems;
- Ensure compliance with rights strategy and budget requirements;
- Source programming catalogues from vendors and maintain program availability lists;
- Coordinate contacts with vendors and international teams, provide content information and contract related support as required;
- Support Management in realising acquisition strategies in the short and mid-term.
Experience and Skills Required:
- Two years minimum proven experience on Acquisition Supervisor or similar position for TV channel(s) or VOD services
- An excellent command of English both written and verbal
- TV enthusiast and TV content fan with up-to-date knowledge of current productions
- Exceptional time management & organisational abilities
- Capable of working well under pressure and within tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in managing information and databases
- Ability to analyse data and information to support decisions
- Interact well with people on all levels
- Proactive attitude to managing and solving challenges, and identifying improvements and opportunities.
