The job
Are you looking for a rewarding, hands-on marketing role? SES Astra, a leading global satellite operator, is looking for an experienced B2B marketing professional to lead our small Central Eastern European marketing team. The product may be located 36,000 kilometers from Earth but it will be your job to develop the networks it serves on the ground.
You will be based in Warsaw in SES’s Astra Central Eastern Europe 'satellite hub ’ - Astra CEE. You will report to the Vice President & Chief Region Officer who is responsible for business development, sales and marketing activities in 15 countries situated between Baltic, Adriatic and Black sea. The marketing role is vital to the team in the continuing dynamic development of SES ASTRA in Central Eastern European region.
Central Eastern European market requires unique approach towards each country, respecting its specific history, culture, language and location. Thanks to the closeness to the local markets and customers, the CEE team act quickly, efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
As head of Central Eastern Europe Marketing, you are responsible for:
• Grow customer’s direct-to-home television platforms by delivering marketing programmes that increase household reach and platform subscribers
• Supporting the regional sales team to acquire customers and deliver customer loyalty programmes
• Manage and develop the careers of the Central Eastern Europe marketing team
• Preparation of the annual Central Eastern Europe marketing and budget plan aligned to the regional sales strategy
• Provide clearly defined KPI’s to demonstrate performance of the regional marketing activities
Experience / Qualifications
We are looking for someone with:
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience with a multinational company in a responsible marketing role in the broadcast or telecommunications industry
• University degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or equivalent, other post-graduate marketing qualifications are of advantage
• Experience of marketing planning, budgeting and implementation – can demonstrate strong project management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English is essential, working knowledge of CEE languages strongly desirable
