Job Description
Founded in 2015, Eleven Sports Network is a new global sports network dedicated to delivering world-class international and domestic sports and lifestyle entertainment. Initial launches include multiple channels across select domestic markets with each country receiving between 2,500 and 3,000 hours of live coverage of premium sporting events annually, along with news, comprehensive analysis, digital content and local programming. The pay TV channels are 24/7, multiscreen, full HD and locally produced to the highest international production standards, with local language commentary.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Content Producer to join our team. The Digital Content Producer will be responsible for editing and publishing content to our brand new digital service and working closely with the marketing and production teams to make sure our digital services are up-to-date and fully aligned.
Candidates would benefit from having a journalistic background, a good understanding of digital media and be an active social media user. You will also have a thorough knowledge and appreciation of football and sport in general. The post is a permanent staff position and includes early morning, late evening, bank holidays and weekend hours.
Purpose
The Digital Content Producer will create sports content for our new Eleven Sports digital platform and social media in order to encourage downloads and usage of our live streaming service. Key responsibilities for the role include:
• Editing and publishing video highlights.
• Showcasing upcoming major live events on mobile, tablet, web platforms and social media
• Working closely with production and marketing teams to make sure our output is fully aligned
• Coordinating with third parties to deliver video content.
• Maintain good knowledge of current sporting issues and new technological innovations.
Skills & Experience
• Demonstrable passion and knowledge for sport
• Good understanding of digital media
• Video editing experience whether professional or part of studies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong and confident editorial judgement and a good decision maker.
• Established team player, who leads by example, is thorough, and organised in their work.
• Attention to detail
Requirements
• Must have a deep understanding and passion for a multitude of professional sport
• Must possess a passion for TV and digital media
• Must be an active Social Media user
• Must have English fluency (written, oral)
