Position Title: Consumer Marketing & PR Manager Lifestyle

The Consumer Marcomms Manager Lifestyle will be developing and executing, in conjunction with the Channel Director Lifestyle, Head of Channels, VP Integrated Marketing CEEMEA and Creative Director CEEMEA, the consumer marketing and PR strategy for the lifestyle portfolio (TLC, ID, Animal Planet) in Central Europe, helping to deliver the core KPIs of reach and ratings growth. Also he/she will be responsible for developing, implementing and tracking clear ROI measurement criteria and processes for all marketing and PR campaigns. The person will be involved in providing feedback to Channel Director Lifestyle, Head of Channels on marketing and PR campaigns identifying what worked well and potentially what could be improved as well as working intensively to create a collaborative atmosphere at all levels within the regional sales and marketing team to realize maximum growth within lifestyle portfolio (TLC, ID, Animal Planet).
We are looking for a person with Marketing and PR knowledge and experience in multinational (Pan-European) business and experience in managing internal customer relationships in the Media Industry. The advantage will be a Marketing degree and a very good Project/Program Management experience within a large organization. Also we are looking for an out of the box thinking with strong analytical skills personality who has advanced English Language skills. He/She should be able to work in a matrixed environment and demonstrate results to multiple stakeholders and deliver effective Marcomms communications that show positive ROI.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work with the Channel Director Lifestyle, Head of Channels, VP Integrated Marketing CEEMEA and Creative Director CEEMEA to devise a consumer communications strategy for the brands that delivers the core KPIs of reach, ratings growth.
• Manage the PR, Creative and Media agencies on a daily basis to ensure they action the communications strategy and demonstrate ROI for these actions.
• Be across the latest communication methods and insights – demonstrate how best to use these in order to reach current and new audiences.
• Work with Research to ensure communication effectiveness.
• Work with the Affiliate and Ad Sales Marketing teams to ensure all activity is aligned and integrated with a focus on Business To Consumer marketing.
• Develop and manage ways of maximizing use of the content by Affiliate and Ad Sales teams.
• Be an active member of the CEEMEA Marcomms team, sharing best practice, ideas and contributing to workshops and group conference calls.
• Work with the Corporate Comms teams on developing and executing campaigns that have a CSR element to them.
• Oversee the digital media (Social Media, web sites) and work with Discovery Networks International and other CEEMEA teams to ensure best practice and innovation are maintained. Show ROI on digital strategy.
• Manage and develop the Digital / Social Media specialist.
Requirements:
• Proven, developed and high level track record in Business To Consumer marketing including Digital/Social Media and Public Relations.
• Ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines in a heavily matrixed team.
